Definitions
- "API" — the Unofficial Star Citizen API service available at
api.starcitizen-api.com. - "API Key" — the 32-character alphanumeric key issued to you upon registration.
- "User" — any individual or entity that accesses the API.
- "Service" — the platform, endpoints, and associated tooling provided by this project.
Acceptable Use
By using the API, you agree to the following:
- No abuse. Do not send requests at a volume that degrades service for other users.
- No excessive scraping. Do not use the API to bulk-harvest or mirror RSI website data.
- No spam or phishing. Do not use API data to send unsolicited messages or impersonate others.
- No sublicensing. You may not sell, resell, or distribute API access or API Keys to third parties.
- No interference. Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication mechanisms.
- No key sharing. Your API Key is personal. Do not share it publicly or embed it in publicly accessible client-side code.
Service Availability
The API is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime or data accuracy. The service may be taken offline for maintenance at any time without prior notice.

Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the API after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
